Serge Harnois joined Harnois Énergies in 1990 following his studies in business administration at the École des Hautes Études Commerciales (HEC) of the Université de Montréal. As CEO, he is always on the lookout for new opportunities. His most recent achievements include the acquisition of Pétro-T of Distributions Pétrolières Therrien, a large group of Imperial Oil (Esso) assets in Quebec as well as six oil deposits from the Basse-Côte-Nord hydrocarbon supply trust.
Serge served on the Board of the Association des distributeurs d’énergie du Québec for six years, including two years as president. In 2007, he was awarded the Ordre du Mérite by the ministère du Développement économique for his contribution to the development of retail businesses in Quebec. More recently, thanks to Serge’s hard work, HÉ received a Desjardins Entrepreneur Award in the growth category — large business. Under his direction, the company has received numerous Excelsior awards from the Chambre de Commerce
France DeBlois holds a bachelor’s degree in administration from the Université du Québec à Montréal and is a chartered accountant. She has more than 25 years of experience in management and financial operations. Before joining Harnois Énergies, she was Vice President, Finance at Ovivo, Chief Financial Officer at GL&V and Controller at Transcontinental.
France DeBlois also volunteers as treasurer of the Fondation de la Maison du père and Maison des jeunes de l’Est de Laval.
Annie Goupil returned to Harnois Énergies in December 2016 after 10 years at CGI. She held various positions there, including Senior Consultant, Employee Benefits and Policy; Senior Consultant, HR Processes and Global Systems; and Manager, Resource Management & Talent Planning. She has participated in the deployment of several HR solutions in absence management, workforce planning and managing massive integration during an acquisition in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams from more than 32 countries.
Annie holds an MBA from the Université de Sherbrooke and a master’s degree in public policy and international economics from the Université de Montréal. She has been a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) since 2011. Annie is involved in the école Guy-Drummond in Outremont and recently joined the Circuit bleu of the Fondation Charles-Bruneau, whose mission is to provide funding for research in pediatric hematology and oncology.
Benoit Jodoin joined Harnois Énergies in 2002 and was part of the development team for the affiliated service stations networks for six years. In 2008, he was given responsibility for the launch of the lubricant sales and operations division. In 2012, he became Vice President, Operations and Logistics, a position he held until his recent appointment in Commercial and Industrial Sales.
Benoit holds a certification in leadership and management skills from the Institut de leadership and has studied business administration at the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières and economics at the Université de Montréal.
Vice President since August 2017, Martin Pelletier began working at Harnois Énergies in January 2016. He received a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Université Laval in 1987 and became a Certified Lubrication Specialist (CLS) in 1998. Martin has extensive experience in business development, including 16 years with Imperial Oil and eight years with AkzoNobel Canada in various store network management positions. He was also responsible for the implementation of the IBP (Integrated Business Planning) management method in Canada and the United States. Before joining Harnois Énergies, Martin worked at Suncor from 2013 to 2016.
Martin Rivard holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Université Laval in Quebec City and has more than 25 years of experience in management and in logistics and manufacturing operations. He has worked in the chemical and petrochemical industry for manufacturing firms serving Canada and North America with responsibilities in production, logistics, engineering, purchasing and R&D.
Before joining Harnois Énergies, he was Vice President of Operations at Pelican International, Senior Director of Operations at Total Canada and Senior Director of Operations at AkzoNobel Canada.
A member of the Harnois Énergies team since January 2012, Marco Spain began his career at Deloitte & Touche where he worked while obtaining his Chartered Accountant (CA) and Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designations. Recruited by the forestry sector, Marco was promoted to Director of Investment Management at Rexfor’s head office and later Vice President of Finance, a position he held for 10 years.
Marco holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting sciences from the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières. In 2015, he received the CPA Emeritus Award for the Lanaudière region for the quality of his work and his social commitment, particularly his coaching of young deaf skiers for over 20 years. Throughout his career, Marco has been a director and member of audit and management committees for about a dozen firms, including a publicly traded company.
Stéphane Turbide holds an MBA from the Université du Québec à Montréal and has more than 20 years of experience in information technology management. He began his career as an IT manager at Groupe Papineau. Stéphane was later appointed General Manager of Maddocks Systems in Montreal and Vancouver and then Senior Director of Information Technology at Belron Canada Inc., where he was responsible for the technological integration of an acquisition of 300 sites across Canada. He also worked in the management of business solutions and performance indicators at TC Transcontinental.
Before joining Harnois Énergies, Stéphane worked in the manufacturing sector at Pratt & Whitney Canada, where he set up the productivity and information management department. Stéphane also gained experience in the financial sector with Professionals’ Financial as Vice President, Information Management and Technology.
