On June 22, Harnois Énergies celebrated the official inauguration of its new facility in Saint-Thomas, attended by municipal officials, representatives from the Chambre de commerce du Grand Joliette, its partner GMI Construction, the project’s general contractor, members of the HÉ team, as well as the Harnois family.
This project represents a major milestone for the company. It marks both the evolution of its local services and a return to its roots, since it was in Saint-Thomas that the Harnois story began in 1958.
A Modernized Location Serving the Community
The new location replaces the area’s former gas station and offers an enhanced selection, including a Harnois gas station, a redesigned Proxi convenience store, and a Tim Hortons, the company’s first franchise.
Designed to meet the needs of local customers, the convenience store offers an experience more akin to a mini-grocery store, with an expanded selection of food items, including fruits and vegetables, meat, baked goods, ready-to-eat meals, and homemade pizza.
The location also incorporates several technological enhancements to enrich the customer experience, including self-checkout lanes, digital signage, and regularly updated promotions.
Harnois Énergies is proud to have completed this significant project in the community where it was founded.
